Hi, I’m Billie. Mum of two, keen runner, enthusiastic holiday planner, and absolutely not one to say no to a glass of wine when the moment calls for it.
I started my career as a primary school teacher, but after a big career pivot found my way into recruitment and never looked back. I love the buzz of it. No two days are the same, the pace keeps me on my toes, and there is nothing better than helping someone land a role that genuinely fits.
I’ve worked alongside Laura for over ten years and together we make a pretty solid team. She brings the energy, the big conversations and the relationship building. I keep the wheels turning behind the scenes. Laura will openly admit she has an IT phobia, so I am the one making sure the systems behave themselves, processes run smoothly, and nothing slips through the cracks. I’m super organised, love a good process, and take great satisfaction in things running like clockwork.
It is also worth noting that I take great pleasure in reminding Laura that she will forever be ten years my senior. It is a running joke and one I fully intend to keep alive. Evidence of our very different life stages was confirmed on my hen do, where Laura and I had wildly different opinions on an unexpected entertainment choice. Enough said.
Health and wellbeing are a big part of my life. You will usually find me in the gym, out running, or signing up for the next slightly questionable challenge. One hundred kilometre run in September, tick. Hyrox, tick. What is next? Who knows, but I will probably say yes before fully thinking it through.
Balancing full time mum life with a part time career is a juggle, but it is one I would not change for the world. Time with my husband and kids is everything to me, especially when it involves travelling. I rarely finish one holiday without planning the next, because exploring new places together is my favourite way to reset.
Calm, organised, people-focused and quietly brilliant.
