Hi, I’m Laura - the face, voice, and chief coffee drinker behind Recruit Therapists. I’m also a mum to two sproglets, which basically means I’ve mastered the art of multitasking, patience, and laughing when things go sideways. I’ve spent my career mixing recruitment, business development, and relationship-building, and I still get overly excited every time I connect the right person with the right opportunity. People come to know me as 'Laura Over-Sharer Gilham, basically I have no filter! Clients know me as straight-talking, a little bit mad (in the best way - think box of frogs, not box of spreadsheets), and 100% committed to finding the perfect match. If you’re a client, chances are you’ll speak to me. I’ll dig deep into what you’re looking for (and probably ask a few questions you hadn’t thought of yet) to make sure we get it spot on. Building genuine relationships is my thing, I want everyone I work with to feel like they’ve got someone in their corner who gets it. Day-to-day, I’m steering the ship at Recruit Therapists, keeping things running smoothly, spotting ways to grow and improve, and chatting far too much at networking events. When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me corralling my kids, overindulging at a food & drink festival, or planning the next adventure. I started out in beauty therapy before moving into mentoring, executive sales, and business development, which gave me a deep understanding of the health, wellness, and beauty sectors. It’s that mix of hands-on experience and business know-how that shaped Recruit Therapists - and honestly? I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else.

Hi, I’m Billie, mum of two, keen runner, holiday goer, and definitely a bit of a wine drinker when the chance comes along! I actually started my career as a primary school teacher, but after a big career switch I found myself in recruitment - and I haven’t looked back. I love the buzz of it, no two days are ever the same, and I thrive on the energy of helping people find their perfect role. I’ve worked with Laura for over 10 years, and we make a great team. She’ll admit she has an IT phobia, so I’m the one keeping all the systems running smoothly and making sure nothing (and no one) slips through the cracks. I’m super organised and love a good process, everything has to run like clockwork. Health and wellbeing are huge for me. You’ll usually find me in the gym or signing up for another crazy challenge; 100km running in September… tick, Hyrox… tick. What’s next? Who knows, but I’ll be up for it! Balancing being a full-time mum and a part-time career woman is a juggle, but it’s one I wouldn’t change for the world. Holidays with my husband and kids are what I live for. I never leave one trip without booking the next, travelling, exploring new places, and seeing the world together is the best kind of reset. At the heart of my role, what I really enjoy is the people side of recruitment. I love talking to candidates and clients, finding out what makes them tick, and then spotting the talent and personality fit that makes a role truly work. I’ve got a sharp eye for detail, but I never forget the human side, because that’s where the real magic happens.
