Moving beyond "Personal Training"
In the world of movement and performance, there is a distinct line between fitness and rehabilitation. When you are dealing with clients who have long-term health conditions, post-operative needs, or chronic pain, a standard Personal Trainer qualification isn’t enough.
You need a Rehabilitation Specialist. Someone who understands risk stratification, medication interactions, and safe programming for special populations.
As a specialist recruitment agency, we champion the “clinical” side of the fitness industry. We work with high-end wellness clubs, private clinics, and rehabilitation studios that demand a higher standard of knowledge. We find the professionals who can take a referral from a Physiotherapist and continue that patient’s journey safely on the gym floor.

Our vetting process can include, as required:
- Qualifications
We check for CIMSPA-accredited Level 3 GP Referral and Level 4 Specialist qualifications. - Specialist Certifications
Verification of niche awards such as BACPR (Cardiac), Wright Foundation, or Lower Back Pain (Level 4). - Insurance
Ensuring candidates hold adequate professional indemnity for working with special populations. - Clinical Collaboration
We interview for the ability to communicate with medical professionals, writing reports and managing referrals professionally.
For candidates: use your advanced skills
Are you a Level 4 Specialist frustrated by the “sales-first” culture of commercial gyms?
We know you invested time and money in your advanced qualifications to help people, not just to sell blocks of PT. We work with employers who value your expertise. We place rehabilitation specialists into environments where they are respected as part of the healthcare continuum.

Common questions about Rehab Recruitment
What is the difference between a PT and a Rehab Specialist?
A Personal Trainer (Level 3) works with healthy individuals. A Rehabilitation Specialist (Level 4) is trained to work with “special populations”, clients with controlled medical conditions like hypertension, diabetes, or chronic back pain. They have deeper training in pathology and exercise modifications.
Do you recruit for Cardiac Rehab roles?
Yes. We have a strong network of BACPR (British Association for Cardiovascular Prevention and Rehabilitation) qualified instructors suitable for private cardiac support groups and Phase 4 maintenance classes.
Can these specialists work alongside Physios?
Absolutely. This is the ideal model. Many of our clients are Physiotherapy clinics that hire a Rehab Specialist to handle the “late-stage” recovery, freeing up the Physio to focus on diagnosis and manual therapy.
